We were introduced to Uncommon James a few years ago to help them create a small pop up space in Los Angeles. We immediately connected and over the past three years have helped design & build out their Chicago and Nashville locations. In 2019 we were asked to help them with their largest space located in Dallas’s Deep Ellum neighborhood. We were excited about this opportunity knowing the history of the neighborhood and it’s connection to the arts.

With UJ projects, we take on the entire scope with the intentions of creating spaces that plays off the neighborhoods UJ stores are located in. For UJ Dallas we focused on a juxtaposition between UJ’s feminine elegance and the rawness inspired by Deep Ellum’s original building materials of that community. Concretes, stones, black stained woods, metal, white oak paneling and terracotta finishes interweave throughout the space setting a backdrop that not only pays tribute to Deep Ellum’s aesthetics, but also highlights UJ’s gold and silver based jewelry in a more dynamic way.

For Uncommon James projects, we take on the Design + Construction + Fabrication + Print + Signage + Visual Merchandising.

Dallas took (2) weeks to design, (4) weeks to fabricate all the interior elements and (3) weeks of construction and installation.
